Confirmation Sunday is May 20
Join us at Confirmation or encourage with a note!
Our eight confirmands have just concluded their yearlong dedication to seeking, stretching, serving and sharing and will be affirming their baptism on May 20th at 3:00pm! We are so blessed and honored to be a part of their “journey of Faith” and invite you to be a part of it, too! Join us for this special ceremony, or encourage and empower these young men and women by writing them a note or sharing your favorite bible passage with them. We will have special bags for each confirmand in the Gathering area on May 13th and 20th where you can drop off your messages.
Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.
Have I not commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; Be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed; for the Lord thy God is with thee withersoever thou goest.
He caused the storm to be still, so that the waves of the sea were hushed.
1 Corinthians 13:4-8
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant 5 or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;[a] 6 it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. 7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.
Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain; that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
1 Timothy 4:8
For while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
