It Can't End Like This
Passage: Matthew 28:1-10
Speaker: Rusty Sullivan
Summary: Mark's gospel ends with the Resurrection of Jesus, but it does so in a most unsatisfactory way…namely…there is no Jesus. In fact, the last sentence of Mark’s gospel (i.e. “Good News”) is “They said nothing to anyone because they were afraid" (NOT Good News!). But it can’t end like this…can it? In today’s message, we look at The Resurrection Story (especially Mark’s version) not as an “ending”…but as the new beginning it was always intended to be! We will explore how not only this story, but our story, isn’t meant to end in frustration, failure, and fear…but instead how these things can become hinges for God’s forgiveness, grace, mercy, and love to flood our lives so that story always ends the same…in the victory of Jesus!
