#TomorrowMatters ~ Hope Rising from the Suffering

main image

"We have a friend from Via de Cristo who suffers from severe depression and anxiety. She started Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) therapy within the past few weeks so that she might have a chance at a happy life without the use of antidepressants, anti-anxiety, bipolar drugs. She has suffered from depression since she was 4. She has been on medication most of her life. Her anxiety is crippling and overwhelming most of the time. Her psychiatrist told her there is nothing they can do for her medicinally anymore. She needs to raise $6,400 to cover the deductible and out of pocket costs for this life-changing treatment.

Kathleen and I received $60 from Faith. We doubled that and contributed $120 to our friend. We pray others are able to help our friend pay for this needed treatment." ~ The Gray Family

#TomorrowMatters ~ Friends of the Family

main image

"So when Pastor Rusty told us about the tomorrow matters project, we as a family thought it was an amazing idea but we were trying to figure out what would make the most impact. That is where Divine direction stepped in and led us to Friends of the Family. They are a local organization that helps women and children trying to start over from a bad situation. We reached out to explain what we were tasked with and they were SO appreciative! We were able to put together 5 baskets that had basic essentials like toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo etc. then with the money left over included target gift cards along with a personal message we wrote on each card that says “you are loved and are special! We are here for you! Please come join us ANYTIME”. The organization was so moved that they asked if they could take a picture and post it on their website! Thank you Faith for making this wonderful experience possible! God is good all the time!"

#TomorrowMatters ~ Gardening for the Community

main image

"We combined our envelope contents and added some more to contribute to the community garden at First Baptist of Flower Mound. They contribute lots of fresh produce to the Christian Community Action all spring and summer. We also got a row of our own to grow fresh veggies. The garden is open to anyone in the community and there are still some unused rows (no contribution required)." ~ Margaret & Paul Aten
